Nathan was an amazing kind hearted guy. He never treated me badly, and there was never a dull moment with him. He was always one of the nicest kids in school. He will be missed and loved by everyone who knew him. Rest easy, Nathan. <3

I remember when we first met in sophomore year, and I remember the whole conversation clearly. He listening to his music and I was like “what are you listening to?” And instead of telling me the song, he selflessly & generously gave me his headphones and was smiling while I was listening to his favorite song then! Because he’d known that I would like it, so his caring action impacted me to be to be more caring to people that I just met. I miss you, Nate!

Nathan was always there for me. He never failed to put a smile in my face through my hard times and when I decided I was going to shave my head for the St. Baldricks Foundation, he was my number one supporter through it. I will miss him always and miss him dearly.

Nathan was always such a sweet, kind kid. He still was even as he got older. I'd check on him and him on me. I'm grateful to be his aunt and just like so many will miss him so much. God bless you Nathan, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I love you.

Nathan was one of many students in my classes my first year at Joliet Central. He became one of my fondest through the relationship we built. He worked hard because he had real goals. He always aspired to be better. He and I would talk at length about his future and game plan. See, he gave me hope in our youth. I now know what it feels like to miss a student on a level that I never thought I would have. I cherished those moments and will work very hard to not allow his name and life go in vain. I will think of Nathan always in the classroom as I do my very best to be the role model young men need in their lives.
