

Phillip C. Nelson, age 82, most recently of Lombard, Illinois, formerly a resident of Clarendon Hills, Illinois for over 50 years, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Beloved Husband of Paulette (nee Rahn) for a loving 60 years. Dear Son of the late Carl and Hulda. Loving Brother of the late Glenn (the late Joyce) and the late Shirley (the late James) Fullerton; and Brother-in-Law of Patricia (the late Jon) Wittenberg. Fond Uncle of Susan (Gordon) Postal, Paul (Catherine) Nelson, Phillip (Patricia) Nelson, Jonalee (Jeff) Cesarone, Jodie (Jeff) Bracken, and Brett (JJ) Wittenberg, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Faith and family were foremost in his life. He was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church, Clarendon Hills serving as a volunteer, e.g., church council member, usher. He enjoyed church fellowship times especially with the ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out).
Phillip enjoyed spending time with family and friends; traveling; dining out; and taking advantage of the cultural events in the Chicagoland area.
After graduating from the Chicago Vocational School, Phillip had a rewarding career spending more than 40 years at Wallace Press where he used his lithography skills.

A memorial service for Phillip will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Christ Lutheran Church, 60 55th Street, Clarendon Hills, Il 60514. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the service will be at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church (see address above) or a charity of your choice.
