Today is the day I get to see you again. But i won't say goodbye Rachel I'll say see you soon because I will see you again. Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for the laughter and being the shoulder to cry on when I needed it most. I love you and I'll see you soon.

Small in stature, but bigger than life.  Her laugh infectious.  Her courage admired.  Her spirit remembered.  We miss you dear Rachel.

I have fond memories of Rachel playing in the woods at Coach House (Almost Home Kids) She was always a child that loved life. God Bless and may her memories support her family during this time.

God needed a warrior in heaven and God will surely get much more than that. She has opened those wings of hers and she is now flying higher than ever. I am honored to have been a part of the Willowbrook High School Family with her. She inspired me to keep pushing on when things didn't seem to go my way. I will forever love you my warrior sister!

I didn't have the honor of knowing Rachel in her life outside of Comer Children's Hospital.  Even so, I experienced firsthand her strength, patience, and humor in spite of all that she endured.  I am honored to have been a part of her care.  She was a remarkable young woman and her memory will always have a place with me.

I am honored to have always had a friendship in Rachel and a Taco Bell fire sauce partner.  I'm thankful for all the moments of laughter Rachel brought to everyone in her life.

It was my honor to share a friendship with Rachel.  We enjoyed moments of laughter, talking about life at her age and life when I was her age. Although our time together was short, it was enough time for me to know that she was a young woman who lived her life with faith, hope, purpose and plans. I will surely miss her smiles; she was a sweet person.  Family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Rachel was truly an amazing person. She touched my life so much the 7 months that I knew her. We now all have a funny, sassy, and energetic angel watching over us. Miss you Rach.

My heart breaks for you as you begin your uncharted journey.  I personally know the inconceivable sorrow you are feeling now as my daughter, Victoria, died 5 years ago.  While I have not seen Rachel for many years, thinking of her makes me smile.  She was always smiling and bringing joy to the people around her.  You are in my heart and my prayers.

To Rachel's family

Rachel was my student in English composition at Elmhurst just  a couple of years ago. She was always sweet and willing to work hard on her essays. In spite of her physical hardships, she never complained or asked for any favors although I would have granted them to her. I could tell Rachel had a kind heart, a great love and concern for children who needed special help, and a deep love for horses. I will never forget Rachel. It was a privilage to know her and an honor to guide her in her education goals. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know you are all in my heart and my prayers.  God Bless you, Mary E. May God comfort your hearts and give you strength during this time.  I too followed Rachel's journey through my sister, Susan Gibson.  She will be remembered, loved and missed by many.  She is truly a beautiful angel.  My heart and prayers are with you and your family.

Although I did not know Rachel I work with several members of the Evans family and know that Rachel was loved very much.  My heart aches for the Evans and the Gibson families.  May God's peace help your heart's to heal.

For one so young, Rachel was the perfect example of a woman with strength and courage.  To lose a child is never expected and my prayers go out to her family at this sad time. May she now find peace.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Rachael, but I know she was loved more than words could express. God has another angel now, and He will hold her in His arms.

Rachel touched many lives.  She will be so very much missed.  However she lived so well and is an inspiration for all who knew her.  We are better persons for having known Rachel  and her loving family.

I remember meeting Rachel and Jay at what was known back then as Coach House (or Respite House), Rachel always had a great smile and lots of energy.   My condolences to the Gibson Family.

I didn't know Rachel personally, but my daughter is one of her sisters at Elmhurst College.  I am so sorry for your loss and what she went through in her young life.
