Robert E. Domrese, U.S. Army Veteran, of Westchester, passed away on September 17, 2026 at the age of 95. Beloved Husband of the late Joan, nee Zacher, for a loving 48 years. Devoted Father of Pamela (the late Daniel) Kornaus and Susan (the late Joseph) Beljung. Proud Grandpa of Jaclyn Beljung and Joseph Beljung, and Robert Kornaus and Matthew Kornaus. Loving Son of the late Louis and Edna Domrese. Fond Brother of the late Lorraine and the late Lois (the late Dr. William) Kohl.
Robert was a mechanical engineer from IIT who worked and retired from the Sunbeam Corporation. He was an active member and Council President at Grace Lutheran Church in Westchester for over for 30 years. In 2017, he traveled to Washington D.C. with the Honor Flight Chicago for Korean War Veterans.
A Visitation for Robert will take place Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 10:00 AM until time of Chapel Service at 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
