Sharon A. Sedivy

Sharon Ann Sedivy, born November 1, 1939, passed away November 26, 2024. She lived most of her life in Western Springs, Illinois, but spent her youth in Riverside and Brookfield. She was a graduate of Riverside-Brookfield High School and return years later to serve as an administrative assistant, dedicating 30 years to the school community. During her 30 years at Riverside-Brookfield High School, she offered countless smiles and kind words to the students and colleagues alike. Her commitment to the students and staff left a lasting legacy.

Sharon’s passions included her grandchildren, her Wednesday Pizza nights, her Friday Friends’ nights, fast food, and the Chicago Cubs. She was also prolific in her constructive use of social media, where she shared positive and thoughtful reflections and messages.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, and two infant granddaughters. Sharon is survived by her son, Michael, and her much-adored grandchildren, Brendan, Hana, and Ainsley.

A visitation will be held at Chapel Hills Gardens West Funeral Home & Cemetery 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM. An entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery.
