Steve was born and raised in Oakbrook Terrace. While attending Albright Middle School, he won first place in the fourth-grade Illinois State Chess Championship and qualified for the National Finals. He graduated from Willowbrook High School in 2000.
Steve worked for Walgreens for more than 20 years. He began his career as a part-time pharmacy technician and ultimately retired as a store manager.
Steve had an entrepreneurial spirit and was never afraid to try something new. Over the years, he pursued several different ventures, including construction and remodeling, firearms training, and, most recently, a startup internet business.
Those who knew Steve will remember his quick wit, his great sense of humor, and his ability to make people laugh. He especially loved teasing his sister.
Steve will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his father, Stephen Quinn Sr.; his sister, Stacy (Colleen) Fenske; his son, Jameson; and his mother, Claire.
A visitation for Steve will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, with the funeral beginning at 10:30 AM at the funeral home and a chapel service at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow the services at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
