Bill was a classmate of mine at Dubuque. We were very good friends along with Don Cameron and Bill Braucht. We had a lot of good times together. I am sorry to hear of his recent passing and extend my deepest sympathy to all his family.

I knew Bill Moffit for only a relatively short time in his 88 years of his life, and then only when we visited Chicago from South Carolina. My sister Barbara, would have he and other M offits at her home for special occasions and we would be there also. Bill was always very friendly as well as his children and Helen.

I do remember Cooperstown, NY involving Bill. I have to assume he was a baseball fan and am honored that the memory of that journey makes up the fabric of our lives.

Bill was a dignified gentleman who must have touched many in his life. Rest in peace, Bill Moffit.
