Dr. William L. Wissmueller, formerly of Berwyn, of Downers Grove, passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 86. Devoted Husband of Marilyn, nee Hutter, for a loving 63 years. Caring Father of Erica (Tony) Ciro and John. Proud Grandpa of Hannah (fiancé Stephen Thompson) and Will Ciro. Beloved Son of the late Armin and Gertrude. Fond Brother of Phyllis (the late Robert) Drska, the late Armin (the late Cathy), and the late Carol (the late Donald) Alexander. Loving Uncle and Cousin of many.
A Visitation for William will take place Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Funeral to follow Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Downers Grove, 5211 Carpenter St, Downers Grove, IL 60515, with Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace.
