

Mr. Wing Fai Mui was born on October 15, 1934, in Taishan County, Guangdong Province, China. He was the second of four children raised by Johnny and King Yao Moy.
In his youth, he moved to Hong Kong and attended Pui Ching High School, graduating in 1955. He pursued higher education, earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and later, a master's degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
On September 28, 1967, Wing married his life partner, Liesel, in Hong Kong. Together, they raised three sons, Peter, Tom, and Gary, in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Wing was known throughout his life for his diligence and dedication. During his 41-year career as an electrical engineer, he worked at Northern Electric, GTE, AT&T Bell Labs, and Lucent Technologies, retiring in 2000.
Beyond his successful career, Wing deeply loved his family and will be remembered for his devotion to family, quiet strength, and loving kindness. His humility and selfless spirit in helping others were also greatly appreciated by his friends.
Wing loved classical music, photography, and basketball. He found great joy in traveling and going on cruises, participating in Scouting activities, camping with his family, and teaching his sons how to repair cars and work with tools. He also cherished attending high school reunions, sharing in church fellowship, and attending Bible study. A defining moment in Wing's life came in 1988, when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his younger brother, Wing Chiu Mui; and his older sister, Linda Mui Lim.
Mr. Wing Fai Mui leaves behind a beautiful legacy and will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 58 years, Liesel; his sons, Peter and his wife, Lily, Tom, and Gary and his wife, Grace; his beloved grandchildren, Ethan and Claire, children of Peter and Lily, and Jonathan and Jennifer, children of Gary and Grace; his sister, Shuet Heung Mui-Yip; his brother-in-law, Sam Chung Wing Lim; his sister-in-law, Yiu Kwan Wong Mui; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Friends and family are invited to attend and share their favorite memories of Wing.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations in Wing's memory to the Wheaton Chinese Alliance Church.
