Winnie F. Molitas

Winnie F. Molitas, age 78, of West Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Beloved wife of Sammy. Loving mother of Sam Molitas, Rodney (Rebecca) Molitas, and Kimberly (Christopher) Molitas-Pratt. Cherished grandmother of Graham and Genevieve Pratt. Dear sister of the late Joel (Nita), Marilyn (the late Jessel), the late Harry (Linda), Imelda (Edgar), Arnold (Ruby), Lemuel (Leah), and Evangeline (Gordon). Many loving nieces and nephews.

Winnie was born in Maayon, Capiz, Philippines. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Central Philippine University, Winnie later immigrated to the United States to start her career where she was a dedicated and compassionate nurse for over 40 years. Winnie was the adored matriarch of her family, and was viewed as a second mother to her seven younger siblings, many whom she helped put through school.

Visitation will be held Tuesday January 17 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace. Family and friends will meet Wednesday at Christ The King Catholic Church 1501 S. Main St., Lombard for 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
