Born at home on March 2nd, 1928 to George and Edna (Hobbs) Cockburn.
Georgia passed away October 29th, 2023 in Coarsegold, CA at the age of 95.
Georgia was the middle child, brother was Archie and then Tollie all have passed away along with her father and mother.
Georgia received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fresno State. Georgia worked as a field nurse with Public Health in the greater Hanford area. Georgia then went to Madera County and was hired as Director of public health nursing until she retired in 1989.
Georgia married Marion Jefferson Cummins April 3rd, 1948. They have three children Stanley Wayne Cummins, Linda Sharon (Allen) Cummins living in Seaview Washington, and Stephen Allan Cummins.
Georgia has seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Georgia is a member of the Church of Christ in Coarsegold. Services will be held in Oakhurst under the direction of Palm Memorial Sierra Chapel along with burial at Oakhill Cemetery.
