James Franklin Walter Sr.

He was born October 25, 1936, in Three Rivers, Michigan, the son of Elanor and William Walter. He was the Youngest of 3 siblings. On January 7, 1956, he married Delores Yerek Schofield, who survives.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a Gunners Mate in the 1950s. After his discharge he with his family moved to California, where he was a mechanic and eventually opened his own shop (WHOA Automotive). Mr. Walter was a member of Rotary Club of Oakhurst, Ca.

He will be missed by his loving family and is survived by his Wife Delores Walter of 66 years, son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Patty Walter of Bloomington, Ca..; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Giselle Walter of Fullerton, Ca; Daughter Melodie Lynch. grandchildren, Brandi Robles/Brian Chaplain of Nellie Gail, Ca., Nichole and Salvador Alvarez of Victorville, Ca., Brittni and Taylor Eberhard of Pinon Hills, Ca., Natasha Walter/Philip Geber of Heilbronn, Germany.; Tatumn Walter of Seattle Washington., Gwendolyn Walter/ Jared Angel of Los Angeles CA.; Kristina Forrest of Oakhurst Ca. great grandchildren Kaydance & Kylie Robles, Joshua & Connor Eberhart, Ismael, Isac, Sophia Alvarez,

Dominik Singletary, Eliana Forrest.

Mr. Walter was preceded in death by his Mother Elanor, Father William, Brother William, Sister Roberta and great granddaughter Ayrieanna Forrest.

A grave side service will be held Wednesday May 18th, 2022 at the National Veterans Cemetery in Arvin, Ca at 12:30 P.M..
