Marylin Mabel Rentfro, 96, died April 24, 2026. Marylin was a long-term resident of Mariposa and later Oakhurst, California. She was born Marylin Mabel Schilling on December 29, 1929, in Georgetown, Michigan. Marylin was the daughter of Beverley Sinclair Schilling and Florence Mary Wilson Schilling. She completed college with a Bachelor of Science degree and worked as secretary for the Dean of Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine until she married Cecil Rentfro on September 10, 1967. She helped raise his three children and was a housewife. She was active in her local church and with Bangla Hope Children’s School in Bangladesh. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil and two of her stepchildren, Rhonda and Greg.
