

Robert was born on October 10, 1927 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri to Lester & Madelene Todd; first of six children. Graduated from Excelsior Springs High School, where he was an All-State Quarterback. At 17 years old in 1944, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy and served in both World War II and the Korean War being honorably discharged in September of 1951.
Robert (aka Bob) married Dolores Rae Foutch (aka Dee) on March 19, 1949 at the Navy Chapel in Long Beach and enjoy 52 years together until her death in November 2001. They had three sons (Larry, Steve and Brian) and made their home and raised their family in California (Long Beach, then Anaheim).
Upon his military discharge, Robert became employed by Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co. (PT&T), a subsidiary of American Telephone & Telegraph Co. (AT&T), as a Lineman on Aerial Cable Construction. He worked his entire 30+ year career with AT&T and retired in 1982 as a District Manager over Maintenance in the Riverside Region.
The family vacationed at Bass Lake annually since 1955. In 1968, Bob & Dee purchased a lot at Lake Shore Park in Bass LAke and built a vacation house. In 1982, they moved into that beautiful retirement house where they lived 19 active years. They were members of the Bass Lake Boat Club, Square Dance Club, and Card Club, where they made many close friends. In 2002, Bob moved into his newly built house on Cedar Vista Circle South, where he lived with his cherished canine companions Buddy & Rascal for 21 years. He was a faithful and active member of The Little Church in the Pines.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Delores, his sisters Frances and JoAnn. He is survived by his sons Larry Todd of Yorba Linda CA., Steve Todd of Kingman, AZ., and Brian Todd of Anaheim CA., by his grandchildren Melissa Todd, Robert Todd, Scott Todd, Chris Todd, Brett Todd, Travis Todd, Nicole Doty, Nicholas Todd, Natalie Pesce and his 13 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Little Church In the Pines, 39446 Rd 434, Bass Lake, CA 93604, US, on July 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will be held at Oakhill Cemetery, 40188 Highway 41, Oakhurst, CA 93644, US, on July 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
