The Story of Addie
I have fought a good fight, and I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7
Mother Addie Bell Madison was born in Wisner, Louisiana, on October 18, 1941, to the late David Louis Madison and Hazel Lee Jones Madison.
Addie confessed Christ at an early age, joined a church, and was baptized. Addie worked as a Civil Service employee at Treasure Island Naval Supply Center Oakland for over 24 years and retired as a GS 11 Financial Systems Analyst. She was a 26-year breast cancer survivor. She was a member of The New St. Paul Community Baptist Church, Senior Pastor Rev. Flemon Henry, where she worked faithfully as the Church Secretary for many years. She also worked in the Pastor Pals Ministry as the President. Addie loved her church.
Addie departed this earthly life on August 17, 2026, in Alameda, California, and now she is resting. Her son, Kevin White Sr., preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her life: son, Mark White Jr.; daughter, Shirley Moody-Slater; sister, Ollie Addison of Oakland, California; two brothers, Herman Madison of Monroe, LA, and Willie Madison of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Caismere, Jose Rivera, Kevin White Jr., and Kierre White; a goddaughter, Ashala Jones; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Addie was a true soldier in the Army of the Lord. She never stopped honoring her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed and remembered lovingly. We love her, but God loves her more.
Your life was a blessing,
Your memory a treasure,
You are loved beyond words
and missed beyond measure.
