Elouise - Armstrong, age 90, of Oakland, California passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Elouise was born January 21, 1930 to he proud parents of Samuel and Josephine Carthan. She was the second oldest of her five siblings. Elouise received her elementary and junior high school education in Arkansas before moving to Alameda, California with her family in 1945. She completed her public school education at Alameda HIGH School. Later, Mother Elouise attended Bay Cities Bible Institute where she received her Degree in Divinity.
In 1956, Elouise united with her husband, Frank Armstrong. This union was blessed with three daughters, Leola, Cleola, and Linda.
Elouise accepted Jesus Christ into her life in 1971 at the East Oakland Faith Deliverance Center under the leadership of Pastor Ray Mack.
She later moved her membership to Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Charles Lavias and currently Pastor Ron Lavias.
While at Mt. Calvary, Elouise served as a Sunday School Teacher, Missionary, and the Church Mother.
Mother Armstrong devoted her life in service to God.
She was a counselor, teacher, prayer warrior, trusted friend, and confidant. She was someone who loved the Lord and wasn't ashamed to share God's Good News with other.
A service for Elouise will be held Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at C. P. Bannon Mortuary, 6800 International Blvd, Oakland, Ca 94603. A burial will occur at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, 4100 Hilltop Dr, Richmond, California 94803-1720.
