Ethel Marie Carr

A funeral service- Star Bethel MBC for Ethel Carr will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A public viewing will occur Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A burial-Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Richmond,Ca will occur Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

Ethel Carr was born to Herman Carr and Cloatean Neal in Merouge, Louisiana where she attended schools. She confessed Christ at an early age. She was offered a scholarship at Gramlin State University which she declined to relocate to Oakland, CA where she furthered her education at Merritt College and received a degree. She went on to work for the government for 31years where she retired in 1995.

She married Roman Bridges in 2008 where they remained married until her passing. She served at the Star Bethel MBC in many capacities for 65 plus years.

She leaves to cherish her memories her only child Sonya Gafford, husband, Roman Bridges, 3 sisters,

5 brothers nieces, nephews cousins and a host of othe family and friends.
