Evelyn Ruth Fennell, age 83, of Oakland, California passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Evelyn was born on January 20, 1939, in Birmingham Alabama. She was the third eldest of five children. At a young age, she professed her faith in Christ, and enjoyed singing with her sisters at various churches and venues growing up in Alabama. Her family relocated to Oakland, California in 1951, and joined the Allen Temple Baptist Church where she became an active member. She attended and graduated from Castlemont High School in Oakland, California in 1956.
Evelyn met and married the love of her life Wilbert Leroy "Roy" Fennell in 1978, they were married for 36 years until his passing in 2014; no children were born from this union however, she inherited a stepdaughter-NaloK. Fennell, and stepson Eric A. Fennell.
Her memory will be cherished forever by all that knew and loved her so dearly.
