Homizelle Jeanette Cramer was born on January 18, 1922, in Cummings TX, and was the 2nd child of Joe Cramer Jr. and Anna Mae Cramer. She received her early education in Prairie View, Texas, graduating high school at the age of 16.
She later attended Prairie View A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 1942. On the go, she moved from Texas to California and a short time later, she met and married Maurice Compton Jr. To this union one child was born, Maurice Compton III.
This marriage was later dissolved through divorce. She later married Jess W. Alexander. No children were born to this union. Jess passed away in 2005.
A viewing for Ms. Homizelle Jeanette Alexander will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 12:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. at C. P. Bannon Mortuary, 6800 International Blvd, Oakland, California, in the Garden Chapel.
A Celebration of life for Ms. Homizelle Jeanette Alexander will take place on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at the C. P. Bannon Mortuary, 6800 International Blvd, Oakland, California.
Ms. Homizelle Jeanette Alexander will be laid to rest in the Rolling Hills Memorial Park, 4100 Hilltop Drive, Richmond, California.
