James Benjamin Powell affectionately called "Jam-O", age 75, of Stockton, California passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022. James was born November 25, 1946 to Terrell and Catherine Powell. He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age.
He received his education in the Oakland Unified School District, and graduated from McClymonds High School in 1964. James was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 and was Honorably discharged in 1966,. He married his childhood Sweetheart in Oakland, CA on November 29, 1968. This union was blessed with two daughters, Cynthia and Cathy Powell.
James enjoyed being around family and friends, especially his grandsons, Eric and Christopher, His favorite pass time was dog training, fishing and helping others.
