Janie Johnson

A celebration of life for Mrs. Janie Johnson will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Allen Temple Baptist Church, 8501 International Blvd., Oakland CA 94621. Interment service will be from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave., Hayward, CA 94542. The repast will be held at Allen Temple Baptist Church.

Janie was originally from Bogalusa, Louisiana and moved to Oakland, California in 1958 to join her brother, Mr. Walter Robinson. Janie met her husband, Mr. Leroy Johnson, in Oakland California.

Janie was a beloved member of Allen Temple Baptist Church and served as an usher for over 60 years. Janie worked at Eden Medical Center for over 55 years.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her stepson, and all of her siblings. Janie is survived by her son, stepdaughter, stepson, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Janie will be greatly missed by her family and friends for her beautiful warm smile and hugs
