A public viewing for Mrs.Joni Thomas will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
at C.P. Bannon 6800 International Blvd. Oakland, CA. Funeral service will occur January 18, 2024 at Acts Full Gospel.
Joni will be laid to rest in SUNSET VIEW CEMETERY, 101 COLUSA AVE, El Cerrito, CA.
Joni was born to the proud parents Douglas and Lillian Watson on August 6,1950 in Berkeley,CA, she was the middle child of 3.
Her education started in Berkeley and ended in Berkeley with a masters degree.
She met and married her lifetime partner George Thomas (50+ years) that produced 3 beautiful young women. Shane Williams, Michelle Thomas and Courtney Jones.
Joni's love for music, cooking, museums and the church was a constant presence in the household. You could find her daily swaying to some old-school while her husband C.T. sang to her.
Joni is survived by her husband C.T., daughters, granddaughters, grandson, nephew and a host of other loved ones and extended family.
