Anna Nguyen T. Luan

Luan T. Nguyen, born on April 20, 1944, in Vietnam, peacefully passed away at the age of 80 at her home in Ocala, Florida on July 9, 2024. She showed incredible resilience and strength throughout her life, bravely battling cancer until the end. In her final years, Luan found solace and joy in the loving company of her daughter Mindy and her husband and granddaughters, Ashley and Destanie, who brought laughter and smiles during difficult times. In 1975, Luan immigrated with her family to the United States, where she dedicated over 20 years of her life as a housekeeper at Fresno Community Hospital in Fresno, CA.

Luan was a steadfast member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, where her unwavering faith and determination inspired many. She had a passion for playing slot machines at the casino and cherished fishing trips with her family.

Luan was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Dung Hoang, and her siblings. She leaves behind a loving legacy through her seven children: Van Hoang, Minh T. "Mindy" Carney, Thanh Hoang, Ha Hoang, Dong Hoang, Tuyet Tran, and Dien Hoang; along with 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.

A viewing will be held from 1-4 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, FL 34480. A Wake Service will begin at 1:00 pm followed by a Rosary. A Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 Southwest State Road 200, Ocala, Florida 34476. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 Southwest 20th Street, Ocala, Florida 34476.
