Barbara Irene Spiller

Barbara was born on May 18, 1941, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She was raised alongside her older brother, Dean Blevins, by their parents Lester and Ruby Blevins of Quarryville, PA.

Barbara was a loving wife to Ralph for 60 years, and together they raised their two daughters, Angie and Wendi. Together they created lasting memories during Ralph’s Navy career. They made new friends and had many adventures as they experienced a variety of duty stations stateside, as well as overseas. Ralph and Barbara finally made Florida their home after his retirement from the Navy. They moved to Ocala in 1985, where she embarked on her own career path as an administrative assistant to the pastor at Trinity Baptist Church, from where she eventually retired.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, and her parents Ruby and Lester Blevins.

She is survived by her brother Dean (Barbara Sue) of Quarryville, PA. She is also survived by their two daughters, Angie (David) of Lakeland, FL, and Wendi (Mac) of Ocala, FL. She was the proud grandmother of Gwyn (Micheal), Adam (Leslie), Kathryn (Nick), Geoff, Samuel, and Amy (Jason). Barbara was also a loving great-grandmother to Gavin, Ava, Ruby, Hudson, Landen, Gabby, and Levi. In addition to family, she leaves behind many friends with whom she enjoyed traveling together and dining out.

A visitation service will be held on June 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM followed by a celebration of her life at 3:00 PM. Barbara will be laid to rest on June 16, 2026, in a private family ceremony with her beloved Ralph at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to make donations to Hospice of Marion County or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
