After high school, Beulah met and married Ernest Ferguson on September 20, 1940. They had three children, Reba Marie, Donald Lee and Alice. In 1946 they moved to Columbus, OH where she lived until her husband passed away in 1991. She moved in with her daughter and son-in-law, Reba Marie and Richard Simpson, of Ocala, FL, in 1993 where she lived out her life.
She became a Christian in 1995 and loved her God and church family. She also loved to read, take day trips, music with the Gaithers and her embroidery work.
She leaves her daughter; Reba Marie Simpson, of Ocala, FL, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren, two sister-in-laws; Marilyn Ferguson and Phyllis Greene, both of Columbus, OH. Also, three very close friends, Mary Ann Hileman, Janie Jordon and Rose Harvey.
She is preceded in death by her son, Donald (1942), Husband, Ernest (1991), Daughter, Alice Stewart in 1994, Son-in-law, Roger Stewart (2013) and Son-in-law, Richard Simpson (2011).
Beulah loved her candy. She and Richard would take off for the candy store and leave Reba behind. Some way at the grocery store, she would go to the candy and leave Reba to do the shopping.
She loved to go pick strawberries, peas and green beans, then canning them for winter. We always love the peaches she would put up also. Her most famous was her Chocolate Covered Cherries every fall. She would wrap them and give them away for Christmas.
We will miss this lovely lady and will see her again. Resting in Paradise!
