Charles Holycross

Charles, affectionately known as “Charlie or Poppy,” graduated from Perrysville High School and later earned an Associate degree.

On May 11, 1962, Charlie married the love of his life, Nancy Holycross. Their marriage was one of enduring love and commitment, and he carried her memory with him following her passing.

Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 23 years. Following his military service, he continued his career in the private sector working with submarines.

Those who knew Charlie will remember his gift for conversation and his warm, welcoming personality. He enjoyed talking with people, fishing, attending church, and, above all, spending time with his family. His grandchildren, nieces, and nephews brought him immense joy throughout his life.

Charlie is survived by his children, Patricia Holycross, Alan Holycross, and Melissa Holycross; his brother, Richard Holycross; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to cherish his memory.

Charlie’s legacy of service, kindness, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
