Christine Kaifas, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Ted and Diane Brandley House, Summerfield, FL. She had many passions in life which included baking, sewing, gardening, crafts, bowling, and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Chris was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 7, 1943 to Pearl and Frank Tomes. She married Steve Kaifas on April 25, 1964 and they celebrated 55 years of marriage this year. She was a member of the Stonecrest Bowling League for 14 years and made many wonderful friends.
Chris is survived by her loving husband, Steve, and their children Kathy(Joe) Bowling, Julie(Pete) Davanzo, and Steven Kaifas, who will miss her deeply. She will be lovingly remember by her grandchildren Brett(Liz) and Ethan Bowling, Erica(Josh) Boos, Marisa and Kara Davanzo, and Maddie and Grant Kaifas; great-grandchildren Benny and Quinn Bowling; brothers Frank(Lauretta) and Bob(Connie) Tomes.
Friends and family may visit at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, FL on
Wednesday, September 18, from 4-7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 10am at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, 7081 SE Hwy 42, Summerfield, FL.
