He was born in Jamaica to Elsada Mary Johnson and Emanuel Folkes, the youngest of ten children. On December 27, 1980, he married the love of his life, Eugenie Hutchinson-Folkes, and together they shared 45 years of marriage.
In 1982, Cyril migrated to the United States of America and settled in New York, where he built a life for his family through hard work and skill as an auto mechanic.
After retiring in 2017, he moved to Florida, where he took up planting vegetables and found joy in tending his garden.
Above all, Cyril was a great father. He was devoted to his children and worked tirelessly to provide for them, and his love and guidance will remain with his family always.
