I believe Danny and I went to the same church in Brooklyn together. If this is the Danny I knew you have my heartfelt sympathy on his passing. if you could please tell me if he got confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church on Prospect Ave. in Brooklyn. We shared a love of sports and played often. Again please excuse me if I have the wrong person.

I’ve known Danny from the time we were kids  in Brooklyn. His mother and my mother were best friends. He was a very nice person and enjoyed golf and his family. He will be missed. 

Watch over us Dad, until we can hug again.

Danny and I often sat beside each other on the bench at the Pimlico pickle ball courts———Danny with his ever present  cup  of Dunkin coffee——-as we solved the great issues of the day including the national debt, the threat of North Korea, gossip, and the proper technique or lack thereof of the players hitting the ball in front of us.  Danny was never at a loss for an opinion——-especially when it came to lawyers and doctors for which he spared me no quarter. Good natured and very “New Yark” is how I will remember Danny when I next view the his empty seat at the courts. Perhaps there will be some joy in knowing that the Almighty is getting up-to-date investing advice for eternity.  Well done, Danny, well-done.

Dan, you always said I was there to bust your chops. We all know it was in jest. I considered you as a friend and Iwill miss you as will the group at DD. And you got your hole in one a lot sooner than I got mine. May God be' with you and provide a save haven for you for ever. And I hope Matty forgives for me taking the picture of you with the Trump sign.

I was so saddened to learn of your passing.  So many days and years at D&Ds laughing, sharing, arguing about sports, family, friends, golf and so forth.  I always seem to sit next to you when I arrived, you were one of the first there and greeted me with your amazing smile, big laugh, and loudly shouting, Affleck as my golf cart pulled in!  Such an honest and upright individual in all things.  I will never forget that day at the executive golf course when you "lit it up!" and posted a one under par score.  Made every putt, no gimmes for you. Such a fine sports accomplishment!  You were a NY City boy and then moved to the Island.  Always had that special accent.  You love talking about your life love, Maddy and all she meant to you.   You battled such a health issue with the lungs, but thankfully Dr. Novis was there for you and you pulled through.  You seldom complained after a coughing episode.   Danny, I always loved you in so many ways and will not soon forget your person.  I know you loved the Lord and I trust you are now free of illness and enjoying the days in Heaven.  Bless you Danny and Godspeed.

Affleck!

A good friend, Danny was always a pleasure to see.  He was a very sincere and honest person. When Dan asked how you were, it was so clear that he was genuinely concerned and not just expressing a casual greeting.  Whenever I stopped by Pimlico in the morning, it was to say hello to Danny. I will miss him.

Loved and missed so much. Broken-hearted. Through mommy we got to see you one more time. And it was a good time. Rest in eternal peace. All the great Christmas times together will never be forgotten. 

Danny, you were a fun guy  and also a fighter, You lived many years beyond what the doctors predicted. We enjoyed the golf,  concerts. and dining. You and your wonderful  wife, Maddy, were perfect for each other. Despite your challenges, you never complained. This is what made you special; this will be your legacy.

Danny,  Will never forget you pal .  .  .  you were like a soul brother to me!  Just wish we had met earlier in life but we did enjoy about 12 years of tennis, pickle ball, teasing, dinners, laughs, drinks, and golfing.    As Lord Tennyson  said, "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" and I am so glad we got to share our love!  To Madeline and Danny's family, I offer my deepest condolences and feel your pain on losing such a great person.

Love ya buddy, great conversations on the pickleball bench. Loved playing with you because I could bang it to the moon as long as I was banging it you were happy. RIP thanks for the influence you relayed to me.

My friend, you will be missed, so glad that for a short time we crossed paths. Always enjoyed our outings with the rest of our group. You will always remain in my heart Danny! God bless and keep you. My most deepest and sincere condolences to your wife, family, extended family and friends.
