

Dolores “Dee” Ferguson Perry, 78 of Summerfield, Florida went to be with the Lord and Savior on Friday, August 18, 2017. Dee was born in Rahns, Pennsylvania on April 16, 1939 and moved to Miami at the age of 13. Dee graduated from North Miami Senior High on June 7, 1957. Dee is survived by her husband, Jon M. Perry, her daughter and son-in-law, Tina M. and Donald L. Jackson, her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bill Whitfield. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Olga C. Medkiff. Dee is survived by her three grandchildren, Andrew Philip, Ashlee Elizabeth, and Brittnee Lauren Jackson and one great-grandson, Austin Tyler Jackson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dee is preceded by her parents, Earl Eugene Ferguson and Eva May Fox, her son Michael Evans Perry and brother-in-law, J. Evans Medkiff.
Dee had many accomplishments in life. She worked at Chase Federal Bank after graduating high school and then worked as an Assistant Bookkeeper and Cashier for Advance Ace Hardware in N. Miami Beach, Florida. Dee loved to sew, cross-stitch, play cards and sing. Dee loved her flowers, especially hibiscus and pansies, and butterflies. Dee loved nature and collected rocks from places she visited. She loved her family very much and would always say “I love you more.” Dee was very patriotic and loved her country and the Marines. She was honest, loyal and faithful to all.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, August 22, 2017, with visitation starting at 10:30 AM, at the Village View Community Church, 8585 SE 147th Place, Summerfield, Florida 34491.
Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
