Elisa Mena Garcia, age 95, of Ocala, passed away Mar 6, 2013 at Palm Gardens of Ocala. She was born on March 15, 1917 in Puerto Rico a daughter to the late Francisco and Ramona (Garcia) Mena. She attended the United Pentacostal Church of Gainesville, and her family remembers her love of sewing, walking, music, and even cutting hair. Most of all though her family remembers her love and enjoyment of church. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 73 years Sander Garcia, a son and daughter-in-law, Olvin and Mary Lou Garcia of Wappingers Falls, NY, a brother Francisco Mena in Puerto Rico, five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A visitation has been scheduled for Friday March 8, 2013 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home witht the funeral to follow at 1:00pm als at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
