George was born August 19, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA to Jacob and Rose Goldstein. He joined the Navy in 1939 and became an aviation machinist mate. During his distinguished career he participated in WW II and the Korean War. In 1964 George retired after 22 years of service as a Senior Chief Petty officer. George also served as a Quality Control Specialist with NASA before retiring with 35 years of Government service. He attended Brevard Junior College and obtained an Associate of Arts degree.
George was a member of the Masonic Temple, a member of the Fleet Reserve and a dedicated family man. George is survived by his wife, Rose Goldstein after 71 years of marriage, two sons, Jerry and wife Carla and Robert and wife Donna, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 18th, at 11:30am with funeral services scheduled for 12:30pm at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Ocala, FL. Following the funeral services George will be interned at the National Cemetery in Bushnell.
