Gladys Elizabeth Cyr, 97, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1927, in Fort Fairfield, Maine, and lived a long, faithful life rooted in love for her family and quiet devotion to her Catholic faith.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger J. Cyr, and her 12 siblings.
She is survived by her two sons, Roger "Butch" Cyr (Theresa) and Eddie Cyr (Lorraine); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her family was her greatest pride, and her legacy continues through them.
She enjoyed writing poetry and playing games, and was known for her sharp wit and sense of humor. Gladys deeply valued time with her loved ones, and her life was a reflection of the strong faith and unwavering love she held for her family.
A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Ocala, Florida.
