Gladys Rivera, age 70, of Belleview, FL, passed away on April 14, 2012 at home. She was born on September 28, 1941 in Puerto Rico a daughter to the late Geraldo and Antonia Rivera. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother Carlos Rivera. Gladys moved to Florida from Puerto Rico in 1980 , attended St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and enjoyed flowers, fishing, and crocheting. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Carmen Carreras Schultz of Ocala, Ana Carreras Snow of Ocala, two sons, Carlos Carreras of Crystal River, Geraldo Carreras of Silver Springs, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service has been scheduled for Sunday April 22,2012 at 1:30pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one half hour before the service. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Diabetes Association or to the Asthma Foundation. Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
