Although many years have passed since he left this earth, on occasion Mr. Dawson still comes to mind.  As others have said, he was a great professor, and he really made his classes interesting.  I loved hearing stories about being an Indianapolis street cop.  He had compassion and cared greatly for his students.  Truly a good man.

I am so sad to see this, my prayers to the family, Rest in Peace Cousin Greg, I so wanted to visit with you.

Mr Dawson was and to this day my favorite professor. He was there when ever I needed to talk. When I had missed class because of person issues he would always understand and tell me that anytime I needed anything he would be there. I even missed a week to go on a cruise and he made sure to tell me when I came back to show him all of the pictures I took.

He was an amazing teacher and person. May his memory live on in all those who knew him or even heard about him. 

Rest in peace Mr. Dawson. I will miss all of your stories.

Mr.Dawson was the best professor i have had and i took all his classes, i still cant believe hes gone, but his teachings and life stories he shared with us in the class will stay with me forever. He truly was an amazing guy and i loved his stories. Prayers to his family and my God Bless him and his family and may he rest in peace.

Words could not express my sorrow when I learned of Professor Dawson's passing. My whole college career, I had him as an instructor. The first class, was pure accident. I needed another course, and his was the newest, most interesting one. He quickly became one of my favourite professors. He gave everything to his students, and believed in us, even when we didn't believe in ourselves. His support and encouragement was overwhelming. He truly believed every student was capable of succeeding, and he made us believe it too. He was ALWAYS available to answer our questions, to point us in the right direction, and to fuel our dreams and our goals. He is, in large part, the reason I am such a strong student. He is the reason I have never given up on my dream of serving in the field of Criminal Justice. Because he made me believe it was POSSIBLE.

His legacy will live on, in the amazing program he built for his students. His students gained valuable knowledge, both about the field, and about life. His teaching and friendship meant the world, and he will NEVER be forgotten.

May his family and friends find comfort knowing Professor Dawson is at peace, in a place far better than we could even begin to imagine. He will only be gone when none who knew him are loyal to his memory. He would not want people to mourn for long. He would want us to continue the mission he started. He would want us to live life to the fullest, to chase our dreams, and to be all that we could be. Remembering Professor Dawson, and honouring him tonight and always. Prayers and thoughts are with his loved ones in this most difficult time. Sleep sweet, professor. You will be missed, but we will all make you proud.

Remembering Professor; the lives of those he touched, the wisdow that he shared, the encouragement and devotion he gave so eloquently administered. As students, he cannot be replaced,in our hearts he shall live forever.

I spent the last semester getting to know Mr. Dawson in his Criminal Justice Class. He loved the subject and I enjoyed the stories from Montana and Indiana. He made Montana a place Id love to visit oneday. He loved to go on cruises also. Rest in peace my fellow lawman.

You will be so missed by many. I spent two years in your classroom and got to know what an awesome man you were. My son even had to come get your cat out of your tree. Shared many stories and laughs with you. Such a sad loss..thank you for All you have done for me and the other students. You were such a blessing. Many thoughts and prayers to the family.
