Hegrol George Johnson was born on June 24th 1935 in the town of Guys Hill, St. Catherine, Jamaica, W.I. He was born in union of Sydney and Connie Johnson. After completion of school in Guys Hill, he relocated for an apprenticeship as a mechanic in Kingston, J.A.
While living in Kingston he met the love of his life in 1957. He met a woman named Rose who he endearingly nicknamed June, from the most memorable month in which they met. At the age of 21, during their courtship, he decided to migrate to London.
Without any finances guaranteed, he was determined to tie the knot on December 10th 1960 and grow with his wife. He left for London shortly after. Three months later, Rose joined George in London and lived together there for a couple of years before migrating to America.
He was a very kind and affectionate husband. Always giving the best of his abilities. Always telling his granddaughters to “give it your best shot”.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Rose; hisson Shane and his wife Althia; hisdaughter Liz and her husband Leroy; hisgranddaughters Alethea and Athena and friends and other relatives.
To my husband, If I should live my life over again, I would certainly marry you all over again. - Rosline A.Johnson
May his soul rest in peace.
