Howard Kirby King of Summerfield, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 85 years of age. Howard is survived by his son, Craig, and his grandchildren; Cassie, Jenna and Eric. Howard sadly lost his daughter Deb, who passed away in October of 2019 and his wife, Karen who passed away in August of 2020.
Howard was born in Pennsylvania in 1935 and has also called Ohio, Minnesota and Florida home for many years. In the early 1950's, Howard joined the Air Force and was stationed in Ramstein Air Base in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany. After returning home, Howard built a successful career as a Screw Machine Set up Operator, garnering a reputation as the best "Set Up Man" in the Midwestern United States.
Howard lived most of his life in Minnesota and loved spending time with family and friends, playing guitar and dobro, listening to bluegrass and country and western music, as well as enjoying boating, waterskiing and fishing, or just sharing his gift of fab.
A Memorial Service for Howard will be held to honor his memory on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 12pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala FL 34480.
