

After attaining her Junior and Senior Cambridge certificates she was employed by the
Jamaican Government Service as a Telegraph operator for 17 years. She migrated to the United States in 1965 and married Lloyd Edwards (deceased). She worked for the United Nations initially the went to work for Prudential Securities Brokerage for 22 years. Because work related stress she developed health issues and had to take early retirement at age 58.
She moved to Ocala, Florida in 1987. She was an active member of St. Stephens
Episcopal Church until its closure in 2018. She then became a member of Silver Spring
Shores Presbyterian Church.
Hyacinth Edwards was called to her eternal rest at 3:30am on 30 June 2021. She is now
at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as we await the day of resurrection.
She leaves behind many beloved friends, a brother, four sisters, several nieces and
nephews and a step-grandson.
Funeral Services will be held at Silver Spring Shores Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 with Visitation at 10 am and Service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Hyacinth Edwards to Silver Spring Shores Presbyterian Church Food Bank would be appreciated.
