Irene L. Wilson

Irene L. Wilson, 89, of Belleview Florida, peacefully passed away Tuesday December 27, 2011 at Estelle’s House. She was born on May 8, 1922 in Hampton, Nova Scotia, to the late Vaughn and Laura Poole. She is survived by her husband, Aden Wilson, her granddaughter, Billy Jean Maurer and two great granddaughters, Elyssa and Emily Maurer. Catherine Maurer of New Hampshire and Christine McPhee of North Carolina.

A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Theresa’s Church, Belleview on January 14, 2012 @ 10:00 am.

Before moving to Florida, Irene lived in Beverly, Massachusetts and worked at Beverly Hospital as a neo-natal nurse.

Irene shared fifty-four years with her devoted and dedicted husband by her side. She had a passion for horses, reading, and cooking all of which she shared with her close family who will now carry on those memories for generations to come. Nana or Nonni as we called her also loved butterflies and her favorite flowers were pansies. Her smile and beautiful blue eyes will be missed here on earth but we are assured by our faith that she is already riding her favorite horse, Paint, with the wind in her hair in heaven.
