John Michael Bateman, Sr. age 58, of Ocala, died Saturday December 3, 2011 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 2, 1953 in Buffalo, New York. He was currently working at Publix Supermarkets where he has been employed for 31 years. John loved fishing, going to Disney World, and concerts and Silver Springs. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 38 years, Karen Bateman, a son and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Tammy Bateman, Jr. of Ocala, a daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Bateman and Daniel Allen Niemann of Ocala, three grandsons John Michael Bateman III, James Daniel Niemann and Michael Allen Niemann, and a brother Albert J. Bateman of Philadelphia, PA. The funeral has been scheduled for Friday December 9, 2011 at 2:00pm with visitation for one hour before the service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
