 We had lost touch the last couple of years. That didn't mean you weren't in my heart or in my thoughts. So when Facebook reminded me that your birthday was last Monday I knew I would wish you happiness and a healthy future. What I didn't know was you had passed away two months ago. You are one of the very few people I admired in this world. We had so many good times together laughing and talking about life and its ironic twists. The hours of playing pool, golf, and cracking on each other will surly be missed. You above all would have laughed so hard at my predicament of sending a happy birthday wish to a deceased person. You will live forever in my thoughts Jack Sullivan! I hope there is a golf course wherever death has brought you, one that is not only beautiful but only lets you hit every fairway, every green and, allows just one putts. Jack was certainly one of the Aetna legends. You could always tell it was him when you heard the scratchy voice and smelled cigarette smoke. As was said in his obituary Jack was a passionate person who loved his family as his friends and his friends as his family. We all will have our "Aetna" memories of our connection to Jack. he will be missed but not forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I will always have fond memories of growing up with you as my "fun" uncle.  The one that would tease us in just the right way and show us cool stuff that maybe the "adults" would frown upon.  I hope the music is great where you are! You are and will be missed.

Sully, you left too soon.  You were one of my oldest friends, graduating from the old Buckley High School.  And then we hooked up again at Aetna, working together and playing softball against each other - your Group Dept. vs. my Data Center.  I always enjoyed our games...lots of fun and laughs.  And after the game, it was up to Johnny's for a few beers and more laughs. And then, I had to listen to that darn song "STILL THE ONE", because your team always took the championship.  Then we moved on to golf, where we continued our fun and laughs.  Glad we got together last year to play and have a couple at the 19th hole.  Well buddy, I will see you again at the 19th hole. You were an inspiration to me. You are the reason I am still at Aetna. Yet I was an inspiration to you. Unfortunately you can't see this but hope you do. We spent many times together in Iselin, NJ at Friday's.Was not a bad thing. It is killing me that I can't be there for the memorial but I know Jack knows how I feel. He was my boss for only three years but he was not only a boss but a dear friend. And Jack the hammer,he never liked, was an educater to me. I never knew he was suffering, but he always told me he wanted to go quickly. Jack, I knew you loved golf, I hope you have the greens as green as they can be.

Lou and I send our deepest sympathy to Jacks' family. He was a long time friend of ours - some good did come out of working at Aetna and having Jack for a friend was one of those good things.  We had great parties and Jack always made them better.  We had great times at his house - our monthly dinner gatherings were great...but Jack always laughed at some of the "stupid" things we did - like hiding peanuts in the shells in his underwear drawer, coffee can, pillows, sugarbowl, etc....we had great times.....I'm sure Jack is watching from above and laughing with the memories too....rest in peace dear friend...

We were close cousins in our youth. We played basketball, made fun of Kathy always watching soap operas with Grandma Leahy, and argued over our Red Sox/Yankees rivalries. We soon became  adults with careers and families and drifted apart for many years. We found ourselves again when we both ended up in Florida separated by just a few miles along with Kathy and Leo. We were all able to link up again many times playing golf and sharing meals  together. Sadly, your health failed too quickly and we were robbed of more enjoyable times with you. I so wish you gave us all more time.
