Johnny was a 1951 graduate of Ocala High School. He retired after 30 plus years with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. He continued to work another 4 years with the US Marshall’s Service. He enjoyed garage sales, woodworking and traveling. He loved spending time with family, friends and his 4-legged babies, Brody and Jay J.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janice P West; his children, Connie Counts (Chuck), J.C., Carl West (January), Brian Pendarvis; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 S. Pine Ave, Ocala FL 34480 on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation in his memory be made to the Humane Society of Marion County, 701 NW 14th Road, Ocala FL 34475
