.Joseph N. “Joey” Chester, age 84, of Belleview, passed away February 8, 2014. He was born on February 1, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY a son to the late Joseph and Rose (Bianco) Chester. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Raffaela “Rae” and six siblings. Joey was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean conflict. His family remembers his love for hanging out with his friends at McDonalds. He will be missed by his daughter and son-in-law Rosemary and Robert Jones of Summerfield, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Daphne Chester of Ocala sister Josephine Pilosi in NY, six grandchildren, Christopher (Angela Lavelle) Jones of Orlando, FL, Lauren (Nick Stephens) Jones Stephens of Jacksonville, FL., Eryn, Sydney, Camryn, and Andrew Chester, a great grandchild, Lennon Rae Stephens and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service has been scheduled for Friday February 14, 2014 at 11:00am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Marion County.
