She was born to Domenico and Carmela Guzzetta Serra on June 5, 1951, in Augusta, Sicily. Josie was raised in Sicily and moved to Somerville, Massachusetts at young age where she met the love of her life, David Dryden. They married on June 28, 1970 and spent 48 loving years together before David passed away in 2018.
Josie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with family, cooking, fishing and gardening. Those left behind to cherish her memories are her three daughters Michele Nappi (son-in-law, Michael), Marcia Kasper and Jennifer Dryden. She was also survived by her grandchildren Stephen McPheeters, Katlyn McLeroy, Joey DeMarco, Christina Nappi, Alexis DeMarco and her sister Letizia Serra.
Her family is very grateful to the community and their outreach in this time of sorrow. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17th at 1:00 followed by a 3:00 graveside service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Ocala.
