Kattie Bell Blackman, age 86, was called home by the angels on April 15, 2018. She was Baptist by faith. Kattie was greeted by her mother, Georgia Davis; father, Marion James Coley and her husband, Buford Blackman.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Riley (Edna) of Mariana, FL and Paul Riley (Lisa) of Belleview FL; daughters, Linda Jones of Florala, Alabama, Sheila Jackson (Robert) of Chipley, Florida; Pam Faxon (Jim) of Ocala, FL , Vickie Strickland (Danny) of Anthony Florida. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
Kattie was born in Kynesville, Florida on January 30, 1932. She was affectionately known as Grandma Kattie to everyone who knew and loved her. Kattie passionately loved her family and loved spending time with each one of them. She enjoyed playing and winning a good game of card. The wonderful memories of Kattie will be forever in our hearts and will continue to bring smiles to many faces.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Open Door Community Church, 5200 SE 145th Street, Summerfield FL; Visitation from noon to 1pm, Funeral Service at 1pm, followed by Interment at Belleview Cemetery. Pall bearers will be: Josh Hall, “Adam” Quiles, Paul Threet, Billy Hickson, Alan Riley and Donnie Jones.
