Lloyd Bruce Monroe, age 87, born August 28, 1928, and died on June 21, 2016. Lloyd was born and raised in Summerfield, Florida, and passed peacefully in his home that he shared with his wife, Dorothy, of 66 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, brothers; Ralph, Leonard, Huey and J.O., sisters; Vera and Juanita, nephew; Dennis, and great granddaughter, Caroline.
Lloyd is survived by his son, Bruce Monroe, daughters; Renee Gercak and Marilyn Monroe Hill, grandchildren; Jennifer Rath, Tina Nichols, Angela Green, Kimberly Gassett, Michelle Biddix, and Christopher Monroe, great grandchildren; Victoria, Corey, Connor, Landrea, Trent and Waylon.
Viewing will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, Florida on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM., with funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Hospice of Marion County
