

Luis graduated from Roy Miller High School, where he earned his high school diploma. A proud veteran, Luis honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later continued his military service in the Marine Corps Reserve. His dedication, discipline, and commitment to service remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.
Following his military service, Luis built a career as a weapons specialist at Lockheed Martin. He went on to work for Georgia Pacific before retiring. His career reflected the same sense of responsibility and dedication that characterized his years of military service.
On November 10, 1989, Luis married Barbara Ann Aleman. Together, they shared many years of life, family, and treasured memories. Above all else, Luis had a deep love for his family and found his greatest joy in spending time with those closest to him.
Luis is survived by his daughters, Ginger Violette and Mary Herpich; his son, William Cobb; and his grandchildren, Vanessa Kaczmarski, Paul Violette, Brittany Shellem, Larry Hamilton, Richard Hamilton, Breanna Cobb, and Michael Cobb. He is also survived by his siblings, Johnny, Alma, Mary Ann, Linda, and Desi, along with extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Daniel and Cindy.
Luis will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud Marine, and hardworking gentleman. His life was marked by service to his country, dedication to his work, and, most importantly, love for his family. The memories he created and the example he set will remain with those who knew and loved him.
A graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 14, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memory Gardens.
