Mildred Licciardello Conley, age 89, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Sunday January 26, 2020. Millie, as she was called, was born October 15, 1930 to loving parents Rosario & Concetta Licciardello in Trenton NJ. She had a happy childhood, and grew into a wonderful young woman. She loved to dance, enjoying dancing competitions during her teenage years. She loved to be with her family growing up and throughout her entire life - they were the center of her world.
Millie met the love of her life, Claude "Lucky" Conley, and they were married on February 6th, 1950. They were together until he passed in 2006. They worked side by side for many years. Millie worked hard to keep their business going financially straight while Lucky worked hard to support the family by taking care of the customers they served. He was a creative visionary, and she was a realist, and together they complimented each other perfectly. Together they had a daughter, Claudette, who passed away in 1952. They later welcomed a son, Claude Jr. into the family and together they spent time travelling, boating, fishing - anything in the sun. They were dedicated parents, always on the go and supporting their son in his endeavors.
Millie was a lifelong Christian, and celebrated her faith. From the time the family moved to Ocala, they worshiped together at Church @ The Springs. She loved to cook (and she was very good at it) and people loved to eat what she cooked. She loved to shop and loved to haggle - always looking for a good deal where she could. She loved to sing, and she made joyful noises. She kept a clean house, neat and tidy always.
Millie and her family were always close and loving. She loved to spend time when she could with both of her sisters, Gloria and Vita, as well as her brothers Dominic and Junior. She loved all her grandchildren, and she was especially close to Krystin. She and Krystin were inseparable. As Krystin grew and matured, Millie was always there willing to lend a helping hand, listen, or guide whenever she was needed. She adored her great-grandchildren, River and Rain, and they made a huge and happy impact on her life in her later years.
She had a large extended family and she would always help where she could. She was a step in mother for many people who needed an extra bit of 'mom' every now and then. She had a heart that was boundless. Millie is loved, she will be missed, and she will have her memory carried in the hearts of her family forever.
A visitation for Mildred will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
