Neil Royes Jones

Neil Royes Jones, Sr. age 89 of Ocklawaha, died Friday October 21, 2011. He was born on June 22, 1922, in Jamaica, a son to the late Thomas and Muriel (Royes) Jones. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son Neil R. Jones, Jr. Neil Sr. was retired from Con Edison, New York. His family has fond memories of him always fixing things that weren’t broke, always tinkering and having lots of tools. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years Maria, sons Bernard R. Jones, Franzey R. Jones, Hector (Kathy Branch) R. Jones, daughters Monica R. Jones, Yvonne A. Jones, Milagros E.(Richard) Martinez, brother John R. (Lola) Jones, sisters, Constance (Byron) Phillips, Muriel Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A visitation has been scheduled for Friday October 28, 2011 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday October 29, 2011 at 12:00pm also at the funeral home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Tuscany House, Hospice of Marion County, Inc. Forest Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
