Nelson Enrique Garcia, age 75, of Ocala, Florida passed away on October 31, 2022 at his home. Nelson was born on May 7, 1947 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to the late Jose C. and Monserrate (Aviles) Garcia.
He was a United States Army veteran and served in Vietnam. Nelson received the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign and Service Medal as well as being a sharpshooter.
Nelson was a butcher for a supermarket chain for many years. He was Christian by faith. Nelson loved restoring his Mustang, reading and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jose C. Garcia, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Nairza “Nancy” (Mike) Castillo; brother, Angel L. Garcia and grandson, Michael Anthony Castillo.
Nelson will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
